sakura was chosen by all produce 48 contestants to be the centre for the show's 'pick me' song, 'nekkoya'. she was shown to be incredibly hard working, tackling both the korean and japanese versions of the song, despite her lack of knowledge of the Korean language.

izone

sakura debuted with izone on October 29th 2018 with their debut album color iz, and the title track la vie en rose.

they obtained their first music show win on the 18th october and at the time they had therefore won the second for the fastest girl group to achieve a music show win in just 10 days.

izone then had their Japanese debut on February 6 2019 with Suki to Iwaseta, Peaking at number 2 on Oricon Singles Chart and with over 250,000 unit sales, the single was certified Platinum.

their second Korean mini album, HEART IZ, was released on April 1st 2019 and featured the title track Violeta.

later, izone made their first Japanese comeback with the single Buenos Aires, shortly followed by their third single Vampire.

after its long awaited release, their first full length albumbloom iz was released on February 17th 2020. this album broke K-Pop Girl Group Record For First Week Album Sales On Day Of Release with an amazing 175,249 copies . this began the trend of izone breaking large sales records.

their third mini album Oneiric Diary was released June 15 2020 and was the first album to have both a korean and japanese version of the title track which was secret story of the swan.
